RECENT ADDITIONS:

OBSERVE AND REPORT, 2009

Well, there are those movies you watch to learn about cinematic history. There are those films that somehow slipped through the cracks and you just need to watch it. And if you keep going far enough, you'll get to the films that you watch because it's 1 AM and there is LITERALLY nothing better to do with your life. I probably should have just gone to bed... Observe and Report was a failed Wes Andersonian look into the microcosmic world of the local mall, its security team, and a string of malicious incidents. It was made on a full budget, producing a film with few technical errors, but not even that can save a depressingly uninteresting and stagnating plot such as this. It had a couple of humorous moments, producing on one occasion audible laughter, but mostly the film was worthy of a raised eyebrow or an awkward dismissal. Reportedly Seth Rogen committed to lose weight after this film - I would rather he commits to making another funny movie at some point in his career.
