RECENT ADDITIONS:

DO THE RIGHT THING, 1989 (*)

This was a jumbled mess of a film for all but the last 15 minutes, but still reached no conclusion or resolve. The acting was there - along with racial stereotyping, intense foul language, and a general lack of a plot. The camerawork was... interesting. Some things really worked, and other things really didn't. Overall, Spike Lee has definitely refined his filmmaking over the years, and despite my general dislike of this film, I have to recognize the historical significance and appreciate it for what it meant - and means - to the black American culture.
