Getting closer to my quest of finding a truly scary movie. From beginning to end, this was full of great moments, and all in all worked out to be a great film. The story surrounding the making of the film only heightens the suspense. The cinematic technique is definitely worthy of praise, as well as the acting - Gregory Peck utterly owned the stage. After all this, however, it never seemed to me to be a scary movie. Suspenseful, yes. Shocking, yes. Scary, no. Fantastic film, nonetheless.

Seen "The Thing" lately? 1980s, Kurt Russell, alien flick. The closest thing to a "scary" movie for me, but still nothing to give an adult nightmares. A 14 year-old me on the other hand...
